P-04: LogBook
My team competed in Opportunity Fest 2025, placing second in the Technology Platforms and Services category with our Software-as-a-Service: LogBook. Going into this contest, we were tasked with identifying a problem, identifying the root cause, and developing a scalable entrepreneurial solution. Our solution addressed the systemic inefficiencies in the Canadian trucking and logistics sector by designing a platform-level response grounded in user interviews and market analysis. The work covered problem definition, customer segmentation, value proposition design, and business model development for a digital system connecting shippers and small fleet carriers. The team translated qualitative insights into a structured solution concept, iterated through multiple prototypes, and assessed feasibility, adoption constraints, and economic impact. The outcome was a coherent platform proposal focused on efficiency, transparency, and operational sustainability in freight transportation.
