P-02: Model Pumped Hydropower Storage
Designed and delivered an interactive, portable hydropower demonstration for a university’s Sustainable Energy Engineering recruitment program. The project translated core principles of pumped hydropower, energy conversion, and systems safety into a clear, hands-on educational display suitable for high school outreach. Work spanned problem definition, stakeholder-driven design objectives, physical prototyping, electronic sensing, CAD modelling, risk analysis, and materials selection under strict size, budget, and safety constraints. The final outcome functioned as a durable recruitment tool that communicates sustainable engineering concepts through direct user interaction and visible system behaviour.
